On our daily morning bike ride through town this past Wednesday, we came across this amazing bee hive probably a good 20 feet up in a tree. I had never seen one so big and so active. It sent the kids running for cover. My son barely wanted to walk under the tree. We had walked past this same tree almost 100 times and never noticed it before. Lucky I bought my new camera on the ride. These are the images my husband captured.
Wow! That is some hive. Will someone from the agricultural extension agency come and capture it and its contents or are your neighbors on their own for dealing with it? I think I have some bees hiding out in the overgrown jasmine beneath my bathroom window. Kind of afraid to disturb their happy habitat. -EW
