Wordless Wednesday: Resident Terrorist

This is the raccoon that has been terrorizing our trash cans, along with a couple of his squirrel posse, that have been driving my husband crazy. They tip over our trash cans, and have eaten through the lids to get to the goods below. You'd think the dirty diapers would sway these pesky animals, no so much. They are determined and persistent. We went out, bought new trash cans with locking lids  and some Critter Ridder from Home Depot.  My husband has been telling me of this big raccoon his has seen digging in our trash at nights but I had'd caught  a glimpse him. Until a couple nights ago, when my husband shined the flash light up at the trees and explained, "Here's are little friend."
He doesn't look so little to me. That raccoon better watch out, or this next picture will be of my husband up in that tree, desperate and on the look out, waiting to take revenge out on our resident terrorist.

  4. Be careful they can be vicious creatures. We lived in an area where they were prevalent and used to come and steal our cat food and killed our pet ducks and bunny. When we'd go out and try to chase them off they would bare their teeth and growl. One night kitty and I sat in wait for them with the lights off. It couldn't see in through the sliding glass door but we could see out perfectly. I just inched the door open wide enough for a baseball bat and sat very still and when it came close enough bopped it one. I waited until about 15 min until it came back and bopped it again. Kitty went out to investigate. Another 15 minutes later it crept back and when I bopped it black kitty suddenly came flying through the night air screeching right towards it. It got so freaked out that it never returned.

  12. Dude, I feel your pain lol...we had a racoon BREAK IN TO our cottage over the summer...while we were there! Scared the crap out of me at 3am, I was sure it was Jason crawled out of the lake with an ax, coming to get me & my kids! It's amazing what these critters are capable of!

  14. Oh, man, we get so many raccoons around here, usually whole families at a time. My stupid cat always thinks they're intriguing and wants to join their gang. I keep trying to tell her they're huge and could eat her in one gulp.

  25. eek! Those eyes are sooo creepy. We have one that frequents our recycling bin - he's so sneaky, but he doesn't scamper when he's spotted. He sort of slinks away, which grosses me out even more!
