Looking ahead....2011

Oprah changed from show host to owning her own network, for the new year. Although I might not be mogul of my own company, but I do have the ability to do what Oprah did, change my life. I have my hands on the reigns and the way I want my day and my life to go are in my hands.

The year ahead has so many possibilities, so many changes and so many new things on the horizon and they are all in my control. Right now I am a stay at home mom to 3 kids under the age of 6 so life can be hectic, crazy and chaotic and as a stay at home mom, it is easy to lose yourself in the struggles of daily life. We give up so much for me to be home with the kids, a decision, I never regret, and my husband has to work hard to make for of that, I want to make sure we don't forget to enjoy life. We don't forget to create memories, stop and smell the roses, enjoy the kids and enjoy each other.

As a mom and as a person, I want to be more organized, I want to be more creative, I want to enjoy each day home with my kids, because with my son in first grade next fall, my daughter entering pre-k the only one home with me full time will be the baby. Time goes fast. Soon they will all be in school and I will be back at work again. I want to take a  minute from the chaos and the daily challenges and just enjoy being a mom, enjoy being their mom and watch the smile, absorb their laughter and watch them grow and develop.

I also want to get back to me. Writing is my passion. I want to take time daily to write. I want to take me time to exercise and lose that last 10lbs of baby weight that I have been fighting to lose.
In the new year, I just want to dedicate time to my family, my husband and finding and keeping myself through the grind of daily life.

And through my blog, I want to get back to blogging my style and attract readers because they want to read my content, because they want to be involved. Worry less about numbers and more that the content I am putting on my page and in my  blog is true to myself and my style of blogging. I started blogging as an outlet, a way to not only connect with  others but a way to purge, a way to empty my mind, put my thoughts and experiences and stresses, out there and hope there were others who had been through the same thing, experienced the same things. My blog is my heart and soul and I want to get back to my true blogging.

The new year will bring a connection back to myself not only as mom, wife, friend, sister, daughter and athlete, but a connection back to me.
