When I ask my son George, who is best friend is, he always answers without fail, cousin Thomas. Thomas and George born just two months apart never fail to entertain each other, make each other and they never fail to have fun. I found this poem searching the web, I am not sure who the author is, but it rings true in every word about these two little boy, cousins and hopefully friends forever.
Why God Made Little Boys
God made the world out of his dreams
of mountains, oceans and streams,
prairies and plains, and wooded land.
Then he paused and thought,
"I need someone to stand on top of the mountains,
to conquer the seas, explore the plains, and climb the trees."
And So...
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
to explore and conquer and romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
with courteous hearts and boyish grins.
When he had completed the task, he had begun,
He surely said,
"That's a job well, done."
